Somatic yoga is a gentle, mindful practice that is the basis of what I will normally teach during our sessions together. It uses movement to help process how you are feeling to promote self-awareness and healing. Common yoga poses are used as a starting point to guide you to release tension, restore balance and rediscover parts of your body you may have become disconnected from, and safely reintegrate them. Somatic yoga aims to soothe your nervous system and improve your mental health. It aims to relieve pain caused by habits that don’t serve you.
My life coach training and certification is rooted in yoga.
I am a certified yoga instructor (200 hour), somatic yoga instructor and yoga informed life coach. My training programmes are through Brett Larkin’s Uplifted courses. Brett Larkin is the founder of her award winning YouTube channel and Uplifted yoga, where she has certified thousands of yoga teachers (like me!). Find out more at https://www.brettlarkin.com.
I have worked in the fertility sector for over 20 years. I trained and worked as a clinical embryologist and have achieved a PhD in embryology, a post graduate certificate in assisted reproductive techniques and an honours degree in Pharmacology.
In the FREE 30 minute session, we’ll talk about:
I won’t:
We will start by discussing how your fertility journey is affecting you and this will include some coaching. This will then lead us into the yoga section which will involve spending some time moving on the yoga mat. This will be a personalised yoga practice to suit your needs and will include a meditation. We will then finish with reflecting on how you feel and we will set some goals/homeplay before we meet for our next session (if applicable). Time on the yoga mat may vary depending upon what we are discussing on each specific call.
Life coaching is all about looking forward and helping you live in the present moment authentically. We may touch on your past to identify negative energy patterns that were created and affect your life now. This is different to therapy, which I believe is hugely important to help those who need it, that allows people the space to explore the past and dissect origins of difficult feelings and behavioural patterns. Please seek appropriate professional help for any mental health concerns. This is why the clarity call is so important to ensure yogatility is the right fit for you, as your specific needs may require a different approach.
In our sessions I will never pretend to know all the answers (I have yet to meet someone who does) but I do promise to be your best cheerleader and be truly invested in you (not the outcome). This is about helping you prioritise yourself as you try to conceive, so I will never influence your choices with my own opinion (unless you specifically ask for it).
All sessions are via zoom, with cameras on so I can see your beautiful face. Zoom allows me to reach out to anyone in the world who feels yogatility could help them. It also allows you to connect from wherever you are without you having to allow extra time from your already busy schedule to travel.
If you have booked a session that includes yoga then it is advisable to eat at least 2 hours before your scheduled call time.
This is my heartfelt genuine wish for you. If you conceive then we will shift our focus to processing your feelings about getting pregnant and prioritising you during the early stages of pregnancy. I will adapt any yoga practices to meet your needs during your first trimester.

Whilst I am happy to discuss any general questions you may have and provide reassurance by demystifying scientific terms you may be struggling with; I will not be offering any embryology or, fertility advice in the sessions. Any questions related to your fertility health should be directed to your GP, or fertility clinic. I believe my great deal of experience gives me a unique insight into the struggles people are faced with as they try to conceive making me extremely empathetic and really adds to what I can bring to our sessions together.
Due to the nature of coaching, we do not offer returns or refunds. Sessions can be rescheduled with 48 hours notice.
